Hello, welcome back to another Blog. Today I start the 'Sports' category. I am pretty excited about it. So, our first topic is what else than Chess. I can give you a brief overview about the game. It is my favourite game since 2 years. I can find here so much joy like no other. Also, it refreshes my mind when I played matches against other users around the World. So, lets start.
So, the game played between two people. One plays with White, who gave the first turn, then the other with the Black Pieces gave his/her turn. I am not tell you about how all pieces moves, you can study them later which is not so tough. Apologises for that.
As you can see it has 64 squares, 32 each. Then the battle begins for both side. It is like a battlefield where you have to implement your ideas to gain advantage. So, basically the game is divided into three parts. First, the Opening. There are numerous number of Openings for White as well as Black. Then comes teh middle game. And at last comes the endgame, which is the toughest part of the game. It has six types of pieces. The King, the Queen, the knight, the bishop, the rook and last but not the least the pawns.
A player who achieved specific landmarks are called Grandmaster (GM). There are ratings also. You probably heard about the current World Champion Magnus Carlsen (Norway).
If I told you that his rating once reached to 2882. The highest rating any human can achieve. Obviously computers like Stockfish, Leela, Alpha Zero are high rated.
And I talked about Chess, then a name at the very first came to our (Indians) mind. Yes, Vishy! Viswanathan Anand. The 5 time World Champion, First GM of India "madras tiger" dominated teh chess World by his outstanding brilliancies.
There are many names like Gary Kasparov, Bobby Fisher, Mikael Tal, Judith Polgar, etc. Russia mainly dominated this game as most of the World Champions are from Russ. Also, Chess is a culture there.
