Today's topic is all about Sports, so I pretend it is very exciting for you. It is LUDO. A game we all loved to play in our spare time, even on trains with an unknown stranger, even in a family with members, and even outside a restaurant in Kolkata, Ludo is loved everywhere by people. But do you know that this game is so ancient that our emperors also loved this. So, let's deep dive into today's topic The History of Ludo.

Ludo, a little bit of luck and some strategy this board game originates in India, but not in the form that we see today. Around 600 BC this game is called Pachisi, many Guru's played it. The rules are different from today. They have "Kauri"s to measure their moves. Basically, there are six Kauri's and one player makes his or her move by shaking all Kauri's and putting them all to the ground. When one of them is up then it counts as 10 points when two the number is two, and 3,4,5,6 continues, and when no Kauri fall up it is counted as 25 Points, that is how the name Pachisi is come from.

Another renowned Mughal Emperor AKBAR The Great also enjoys this game very much. This game has other names like Chaupar, Chausar , etc.

And after the British arrived in India, they also kind of sucked this game and after developing such a long time in 1896, Alfred Collier first introduced the modern version of LUDO to the World, which is very popular till now because when COVID came, many of us spend time by playing Ludo on our Mobile Phone.

Hope I can explain to you briefly about this game's history very briefly. As always you can search on Google about it for more information. But, I tell only the one version of this game. So, the obvious question in your mind is what about snakes and ladders? But, that's the story for another Blog! Good Bye...
