Welcome, welcome. In the previous one, I touched on the history of Ludo so today we are going to witness the history of the same game but with a different version called 'Snakes and Ladders'.

As Ludo, it also originated in Indi in the early 13th Century. The game we know today is kind of that same version but has a different motive. It is played within 100 squares and with dice. Obviously, it is luck based game, and whoever reaches the 100th square first wins the match. But, we all know India is a land of spirituality, so every square word related to your life is written, which is very interesting. There are snakes all around the board but no ladders, but good snakes as the opposite. When someone reaches the particular square where an evil snake's mouth is, then he/she is to go back to where that snake's tail is. And everywhere 'Karma' is written (your life's works). The larger the snake's size is the greater amount of evil it was. That is a very good way of understanding our life through this game and it also teaches us what to do and what not to do.

In late 1890 the game was carried through England from India because of the British colonization of India. And they removed its spiritual site and replaced good snakes with ladders and popularized it.

And that's how it spread worldwide and is very popular among children and parents also. Yeah! I hope you enjoyed it. And if you made it here Congratulations, you are awesome. I have nothing else to say. Bye. See you in the next blog.
